Yes, I've finally written something and I need a beta (or two). This is my longest one-shot I've written to date at just over 8300 words. It is NC17 and is of course SNARRY with some Harry/OCs implied. I have reread it several times and I believe I have gotten all of the spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes. I mostly just need someone to read it and tell me if it is worth posting. Is there anything I should edit out or add to it? Things like that. I figured it was about time I post again. heehee. Been busy. I've been working on my fic. It is my first chaptered fic and I have decided to finish it before posting it, just in case I have to abandon it. Though I am trying fervently not to. I have four chapters with extensive notes for chapters five and six and a few other events that will happen later on. But the whole thing feels rushed. So my sister, being the great sister that she is, has offered to help me flesh it out a bit. Once it is finished, she is going to go over it with me, chapter by chapter. Then I will run it through a beta. Then I will post it. I'm thinking about calling it "The Call of the Wild". It is set after DH. It has vampires in it. Snape is a Carpathian, which is similar to a vampire but not quite. I got the idea from another favorite author of mine, Christine Feehan. So the fic is a fanfiction from two realms. I'm a little excited about it. :) ( Want to know how bad my Thanksgiving holiday went? ) |

Yes, I know it's been a while. I've been busy catching up on reading fics. I got a little behind on the SS/HP Prophet. So I got caught up there. Then I read a completed chapter fic. Then I read the Tea Series, now that it is finished. I'm one of these that waits until a fic is finished before I read it. The only thing is I get behind on other reading while I read the finished fic. I now have a list of finished fics to read. I have them all saved to read at my leisure. On the bright side, I am working on a chaptered fic of my own. My first. It is Snarry and I have the basis of it ready. I am doing some research for it and hope to start it soon. I will wait until it is finished until I post it, just in case something happens and I have to abandon it. ( Now for a giggle: ) |

Yay me! I wrote something. It's been a while. I finally am caught up on my Prophet reading. Just a few more one-shots and a couple of completed fics and I'll be done. But this little snippet popped into my head after reading alisanne's ficlet The Scent of Home and I had to write it down. Glad to see my muse has not abandoned me. Yaaayyy! I'm back! My computer is fixed and I now have internet. So now I am planning on spending every free minute catching up on my Prophet reading and then I'm gonna check out the Bring Back the Porn challenge fics. Yeah, my computer. I feel like an idiot really. See my problem started a few months ago. It would constantly reboot itself and when it opened back up, it always showed something different than my desktop. Screens with codes, F8 screen, blue screen of death,...you name it. So I took it to a comp shop to get it fixed. They thought it was my RAM, messed with it and sent it back to me in worse shape than it went in. So a friend and I fixed that and then reinstalled windows. And it still reboots. So this guy at work said he would look at it for me. I spent $135 dollars at the shop and reinstalled windows when all it needed was a good blow job! Seriously. You know those cans of air with a nozzle that you spray all over the inside of your computer? Yep, that's all it needed. A good cleaning. Blow jobs fix almost anything, don't they girls? So now I'm a happy camper and I have my own supply of blow job cans on hand for future use. I may not be able to keep up with my friends list while I'm catching up on my reading. I hope to pop in to see a few of you though, here and there. I think I'll go through all the drabbles and art links first, since they take less time. Then the one-shots, then the completed fics. I always wait until a fic is complete before I read it. Yeah, I'm one of those types. But I usually leave more detailed reviews that way. Don't know when I'll get around to writing my own stuff again. I've had a few different ideas that I hope to write out soon. We'll see. Anyway, gonna go read now! edit: I just read the first drabble (by alisanne) and I was smiling just to be reading Harry and Snape again! A week really is too long to go without the snarry! |

Okay, we are finally in our new place and we really like it. My daughter likes her new school and actually likes riding the bus home. So, yay! But, I'm having to visit the library to get online. I have been having problems with my computer for a couple of months. There is a guy I work with that is going to look at it tomorrow for me and see if he can figure out what is wrong with it and how to fix it. He said he will charge no more than $50 to fix it. Now I just hope it doesn't require any expensive parts. I get the cable and internet and phone hooked up at our new place Saturday. I hope my computer will cooperate long enough to get the internet going. So, I guess I will be visiting the library a couple of times over the next week or so to clear out my email. I am so far behind on my Prophet reading and it really bothers me. Like, 5 or 6 prophets! So if any of you were expecting comments from me, this is why and I will get to it as soon as my computer is fixed. I can't read fics here at the library because there is a time limit on the computers. Bah! I was hoping to sign up for snarry_holidays, but I miss the sign-ups and probably for the better, considering I don't know when I'll get my computer back to normal. So, I'll keep an eye out for other fests that I might can join in later. I'm also hoping to pay more attention to my friends list. I've not had much time to spend on them in the past. I want to write drabbles or something for b-days, stuff like that. Gotta go, time for supper! Chat later! |

Cross-posted to IJ and LJ. Guess what? We found a new place to live! That was quick. It is bigger than the place we have now, newer, cleaner, safer, and in a nicer neighborhood. We are quite excited, but a little overwhelmed because we have until the first to get moved in. We've been running around like a chicken with its head cut off to get everything done...electric turned on, etc. Plus my daughter just started back to school. I went ahead and put her in her new school for our new address. LOTS of paperwork! There are a few things about this school that I don't like, but I guess we'll have to adjust. So, I won't be able to spend much time online for the next couple of weeks. I will do my best to keep up with reading the ss/hp prophet stories, because I hate it when I get behind on those. But I may not be able to post much to my journals for a while, bummer. I have several people on my f-list that have birthdays coming up or had one recently and I so wanted to write some drabbles for them, but alas, no time! Maybe I can write some stuff for Christmas, definitely start a New Year's resolution to do something for f-list birthdays. |

| Okay, I just went through my list of people I still hadn't friended on LJ and found out how many had and IJ. It turned almost all of them do. So I then went through and added all 44 that I could, plus those friends I did have on LJ that are here too. Just finished that task actually. Now to see how many will friend me back, lol. I still need to see what customizing options are open to me. I have two or three fics/drabbles that I need to write and am not sure how much time I can allot to it. I am also trying to decide whether or not to sign up for snarry_holidays. Not to mention...looking for a new place to live and packing and moving AND my daughter starts school Monday meaning a new schedule at home and at work. I also need to back up my comments from LJ. It won't be too hard. I don't have and extensive LJ, considering I had not been there long. I have copies of all my fics/drabbles on my website, on disk, and some on paper. So no worries there. I just need to go to all the places that my stuff was posted and probably just copy/paste the comments I want to save to disk along with their corresponding stories. I guess I'm lucky that I don't have years of stuff to go through, like some people, bless your hearts. | ||||

I am crossposting this to IJ and LJ. Okay, I need to know a few things. Is there a place I can go to that will show me how to code/tag things in my posts on IJ? Like how do I cut my post? Things like that. I'm sure they're not the exact same codes though they may be similar. Also, I was in the process of friending a bunch of people on LJ. I have a list of people I want to friend. Now I am going through that list and finding most of them are here on IJ, some have both. Should I continue friending them in both journals? I guess I will. It's just very tedious. Also, when friending in LJ, I always posted a comment in their journal that I friended them, thus giving them the option to friend me back so I can see their locked entries. A few of the locked journals on IJ don't seem to give me that option. If I friend someone on IJ, do they see it and then friend back or do I need to notify them somehow? Or are they automatically friended both ways? Next, I need to see what my options are on customizing my IJ. Any suggestions? It is a free account, so I now I am limited. I will play with it some tomorrow night and see what I come up with. But for now it is almost midnight and I have a headache and I have to work tomorrow. Bummer. |

| Okay, so here I am. I just created this journal. It appears that a lot of my favorite fandom authors and artists are moving to IJ. Some just have an account here to backup their stuff elsewhere. I decided to create this account because I wanted to comment on a fic I read in someone's IJ and it wouldn't let me post it. So that is the main reason I created this journal. I will not be using it much, except to comment on other journals. I may occasionally post a link to any of my fics, but I most likely will not be posting the entirity of a fic here unless I decide to leave LJ, which I do not plan to do anytime soon. I do not need a backup journal, but here it is just in case. Now I need to go through and do a bunch of friending! | ||||
